Steering wheel type information

How do I know what type of steering wheel I have?

This STMV1/STMV1-H adapter (wire harness with computer controller) will allow you to use a newer model or generation steering wheel that also has Multifunction or Heated in your older cars like:
997, 987, 991.1, 981, 970, 958.1

Newer model or generation wheels you can now use are:
991.2 or similar style like Macan or Cayenne Steering -
95B, 958.2, 991.2, 718




Support Vehicle Model：

STMV1/STMV1-H cannot support the MODE SWITCH knob to change the drive mode. If you need to add MODE SWITCH control support to 991.1/981/958.1, please select Adapter-X kits

If new steering wheel is 971 panamera style,please select STMV1-971 adapter.

If new steering wheel is 95B/991.2/718/958.2 style,please select STMV1/STMV1-H adapter.

If you have a 997.1, you will need to upgrade the steering column module to 997.2 (997.613.289.00/997.613.289.01), without steering heating support. Heating is currently not available for 997.1. We do not guarantee adapter will work with aftermarket stereos. There is a possibility, though if you already have it working with a stock steering wheel that it may still work without having to do anything. I'm very happy with the product and service. It went smoothly for me. For installation , I found it important to take time, be organised and methodical, take photos as I went. Instructions do the job, a bit hard going in places. I also used an online instructio video to help. Definitely recommended product and end result has been really satisfying for me.

Super solution to use 991.2 steering wheel functional in a 997.1

Bought the GPS adapter solution to make a 991.2 multifunctional steering wheel work in my 997.1; together with a steering column module of a 997.2 this ensured that the whole functional part (paddles AND multifunction keys) of the new steering wheel works. Upgraded look and totally functional! Recommended!
